Jesper Andreasson London Writer Musician

Jesper Andreasson writes with an experienced drollery that feels completely right. He creates through character interactions that sense of sorrowful humor, or humorous (as in "what can you do?") sorrow that the Europeans and Russians are so good at. Reading him, I think of writers like Hamsun, Hrabal, Walser... He is a talent to be watching.”

- Sven Birkerts

“Jesper’s particular gifts: the ability to condense, to find the marrow of an encounter, to use wit judiciously, to carve out indelible protagonists within the space of a few sentences… few writers can leave lasting impressions with such economy.

- Katy Simpson Smith, author of The Story of Land and Sea, and Free Men
